Website design and development for K2, by Chleb AI.

Chleb AI is a website design and development studio in Tampa, Florida, built for small businesses. These notes explain the website we designed and built for K2 Mixed Martial Arts & Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Royal Palm Beach. They cover what the dojo needed, what we built, and why each decision helps a parent or new student take the next step.

What K2 needed the site to do

  • Show Shihan William Mitchell Wright III’s decades of MMA and BJJ ranks accurately and in his own words.
  • Make a weekly schedule of kids, teen and adult classes, with age and belt rules, easy to read on a phone.
  • Help a parent choose a class and ask for a free first class without calling during class hours.
  • Keep K2’s identity: the yellow-and-black colors, the tornado mark, and real dojo photography.

Turning handwritten notes into a rank timeline

Shihan Wright sent his career history as handwritten pages. Chleb transcribed it word for word into two timelines:

  • MMA path: 1st Degree Black Belt in 1992 through 7th Degree in 2025, including his promotions to Sensei and to Shihan, Master Instructor.
  • BJJ path and honors: North American Coach of the Year in 2009; his BJJ black belt in 2012 under Paulo Coelho, who is under Royler Gracie; and NAGA North American Instructor of the Decade.

Getting the details right mattered more than the layout. An earlier version credited his lineage to the wrong name, and we corrected it to Paulo Coelho. When the first timeline ran far taller than the photos beside it, we rebuilt it as compact rank cards. We also tightened the portrait crop until both his face and his NAGA belt showed on desktop and mobile.

A schedule parents can actually read

K2’s schedule had lived on a printed sheet. Chleb rebuilt it as text, organized by day, with the age notes next to each class, for example “ages 5+” and “yellow belts and up or 8+ years old.” The sheet’s class rules are copied word for word. Separate programs and first-class pages answer the questions a parent has before visiting: which class fits, what to bring, when to arrive, and the rule that minors need a guardian’s signature on the waiver.

A first-class request staff can act on

Instead of a generic contact box, Chleb built a free-class request that collects the details staff need to follow up: name, email, phone, age, preferred class, and goals. Requests go straight to K2’s inbox. Every page that mentions the free class says the same thing: a staff member will reach out to schedule, so a visitor never mistakes a request for a confirmed spot.

Work beyond the original brief

  • Separate desktop and mobile layouts, so nothing on a phone is just a shrunken desktop page.
  • A scrolling fix: we replaced a scripted smooth-scroll and stopped repeated animations that made the page lag or freeze.
  • Privacy Policy and Terms of Service pages covering minors, waivers and how contact details are used.
  • Search basics for K2: page titles, a sitemap, structured data for the dojo’s name and address, and an up-to-date Instagram link.
  • Small requests handled as they came in, such as swapping photos and resizing a trophy image.

Questions

Who designed and built the K2 website?
Chleb AI, a website design and development studio in Tampa, Florida. Founder Dominik Kloda handles the technical build.
What did this project include?
Design and development of the K2 site with separate desktop and mobile layouts. It also included the instructor rank timeline, schedule, programs and first-class guides, the free-class request form, a gallery and location section, Privacy and Terms pages, search setup, and a scrolling-performance fix.
How does a free-class request work?
The form sends the visitor’s details to K2 by email. A staff member then contacts the visitor to schedule. The request is an inquiry, not a confirmed booking.
Does Chleb only build for Tampa businesses?
Chleb is based in Tampa and focused on Tampa Bay small businesses. K2 is in Royal Palm Beach, on the other side of Florida.
Who wrote the content on K2’s pages?
The ranks, history, programs and class rules come from K2 and Shihan Wright. Chleb organized and presented them. These project notes were written by Chleb AI.

Comparing website designers?

If you are comparing web designers in Tampa, this project shows how Chleb works. The site is built around the owner’s real story and the questions customers ask, with a clear next step at the end.
